Jigsaw Research, the market research and insights consultancy, joins STRAT7
The deal is the third investment by STRAT7 in the past two years, following the purchase of insight consultancy, Incite, in September 2021 and cultural trend specialists, Crowd DNA, in November 2020. Each acquisition supports STRAT7’s ambitious growth strategy; and with over £60 million in revenue and 350 people across the globe, this latest investment strengthens the Group’s tech-enabled, strategic insight services for global brands to understand, predict and act on change.
Founded in 1998, Jigsaw delivers integrated quantitative and qualitative research services across a range of sectors, including Financial Services, Technology, Media and Telecoms, Life Sciences, Professional Services, Public Sector and Retail. It boasts a global blue-chip client list including American Express, M&S, Lloyds, BBC, ITV, Sage, Vodafone, PwC, Deloitte and Ofcom.
With a team of senior only researchers, Jigsaw tailors every project, using and creating the best-fitting techniques to help clients answer their most challenging questions and solve their most difficult problems.
Through its proprietary online research platform, Whycatcher, Jigsaw captures in the moment insights within both one-off projects and online research communities. The platform is the first to fully integrate WhatsApp, an award-winning innovation, giving participants a user friendly and intuitive interface unmatched by competitor platforms.
Barrie Brien, CEO of STRAT7 said: “As an ambitious, fast-growing tech-enabled strategic insights group, we’re always looking out for exciting, innovative companies to join us. Jigsaw fits the bill perfectly. The quality of the team’s thinking, their creative approaches and their superb client service means they have built a highly trusted and respected brand. This is reflected in excellent client retention levels, strong growth profile and numerous prestigious awards (including MRS’ Global Agency of the Year and Innovation of the Year).
Like STRAT7, their approach is also underpinned by a culture of innovation. Our teams are already working together to use Jigsaw’s automated WhatsApp interface into ex-plor, Researchbods’ insight community platform and broader group solutions to provide clients even deeper, richer, real-time insights.
And, finally, with the Jigsaw team delivering research projects in more than 50 countries across multiple sectors, the partnership continues to boost STRAT7’s presence in several industries and geographies around the globe”.
Sue van Meeteren, founder and CEO of Jigsaw Research, said:
“We have huge admiration for the businesses that are already part of STRAT7 and we are really excited to be joining the group. It gives us the opportunity to expand our capabilities and provide our clients with additional services, especially in the form of data analytics and international cultural insights; and STRAT7’s international footprint, especially in the US, means we are able to service our global clients more effectively. STRAT7’s expertise in research technology platforms also enables us to work together to accelerate the development of our award-winning online research tools. We bring complementary skills and experience to the group and we can’t wait to get started!”
